Welcome to the official website of ARCI Basilea!
ARCI Basilea: together for a stronger, more united community.
ARCI Basel is part of the wider ARCI network — one of the leading social and cultural promotion associations in Italy and abroad.
Founded in November 2024 by a group of friends, our chapter is an open space for everyone, where the Italian community — and beyond — can come together, connect, and grow as one.

We aim to be a point of reference for those living far from their homeland — a welcoming place for connection, exchange, and belonging, open to all ages and cultures.
Here in Basel, we’re committed to turning inclusion into a tangible reality, where dialogue and mutual support are the cornerstones of a more united and supportive community.
Our Mission
We believe in a society built on solidarity, democracy, and social justice.
Our mission is to spread culture, promote human rights, and foster social connection through activities that inspire, engage, and bring people together.
We organize events and initiatives to build a stronger, more cohesive community — where diversity is seen as a strength, not a barrier.
Our work focuses on six key areas.

HUMAN RIGHTS & INCLUSION
We stand up for the rights of migrants, oppose racism, and promote social justice.
CULTURE
“More culture, less fear” is our motto. We promote cultural activities ranging from cinema and theatre to music and reading making culture accessible to everyone.

PEACE & GLOBAL RIGHTS
We support initiatives for peace, justice, disarmament, and environmental protection.

ANTI-MAFIA & JUSTICE
SOLIDARITY
PARTICIPATION
We promote activities focused on legal education, the fight against mafia organizations, and the social management of confiscated assets.
We support initiatives focused on mutual aid and social justice.
We believe in freedom of association and democratic self-organization as powerful tools for change.
What We Do

We’re a space open to everyone — a place to meet, share ideas, and build a stronger, more supportive community together.
Events & Social Life – From our regular aperitivi (like Archeers, twice a month) to themed nights, parties, outings, and networking meetups, we create fun, welcoming spaces to connect and enjoy each other’s company.
Culture & Art – Exhibitions, performances, concerts, and cultural events that celebrate creativity and make art accessible to all.
Talks & Workshops – Engaging discussions on current issues, human rights, and social justice, plus hands-on workshops that help us grow together.
Solidarity & Inclusion – We work for integration, mutual support, and the promotion of justice and legality — because we believe in a fairer, more open society for all.
